About Us - Why did I create Castlestone Radio?

It was a lone October night in 2005 when I stumbled upon the 69 Eyes via the internet.  I loved their style instantly.  After seeing them live at their first show on their first US tour, it sealed the passion.

After repeated failed attempts for Richmond Radio stations to play them, i decided to investigate making my own radio station that would play what i wanted to hear.  I wanted a comphrensive mix of music that anyone could listen to and enjoy.  But it needed a name!  Around this time my Street team site had just gotten a new mascot named and it fit perfectly.  Castlestone Radio was born and Mr. Castlestone,  the wampire devil became not only the VA devils mascot but the mascot for the station.
